Our Mission

My sister and I love hockey, and we wish more girls had the chance to play it.

As we got more involved in hockey, we started to notice that there aren’t as many opportunities for girls as there are for boys. Some public high schools don’t have girls’ hockey teams because there aren’t enough girls playing. Even when schools do have girls’ teams, sometimes there aren’t enough teams nearby to play against.

That made us wonder: What if we could help more girls discover hockey when they’re young?

Maybe they will try it, have fun, and fall in love with the sport just like we did. And if more girls start playing, there can be more girls’ teams, more games, and more opportunities as we all get older.

That’s one of the reasons we created Ink & Rink.

We both love being creative. We like drawing, designing, writing, and making things, so we decided to use our creativity to help the sport we love. Together with our friends, we create books, artwork, and T-shirts inspired by hockey and our own ideas.

We love hockey, and we want more girls to have the chance to love it too!

About Us

Jasmine:

I love creating things. I like drawing, crafting, writing stories, and turning ideas in my head into something I can actually make.

I’m learning Chinese and Latin, and I enjoy anything that lets me think, design, build, or solve a problem.

But one of the biggest parts of my life is hockey.

I started playing hockey when I was six years old, and I fell in love with the sport. I love being on the ice, being part of a team, learning new skills, and challenging myself to get better.

Hockey isn’t the only sport I enjoy. I also like field hockey, jiu-jitsu, skiing, playing board games, and spending time outdoors.

That’s how Ink & Rink came to be. It brings together two things I really love—being creative and playing hockey. I hope the things we create can make people smile while also helping more girls get the chance to try hockey and discover how much fun it can be.

I love being active, creative, and having fun!

Hockey is one of my favorite sports. I also love lacrosse and swimming, and I’m always excited to learn something new and get better at what I do.

Just like my sister Jasmine, I love drawing and creating things. Jasmine is my big sister, and I’ve always looked up to her. I like trying the things she does, learning from her, and—of course—trying my best to keep up with her!

But I also have my own ideas and my own way of doing things. I love being part of a team, spending time with my friends and family, and making the people around me happy.

One thing that is really important to me is caring about other people. I notice when someone needs help or encouragement, and I like finding little ways to make people feel included and cared for.

Ink & Rink is something special that Jasmine and I get to create together. It combines things we both love—hockey, drawing, creating, and helping others.

And the best part is that what we make can help more girls get a chance to step onto the ice and discover hockey too!
